Video tutorial on how to remove the rear door panel on a BMW E39. The video does cover on the removal of the driver's side door panel, which will be the same for the passenger side as well. Vehicles equipped with sun shades maybe slightly different. Removing the door panel will give you direct access to the inside of the door such as working on the window regulator. This particular tutorial was done on a 1997 BMW 540i sedan.
