Tools/Supplies Needed:

• needle nose pliers

Procedure:

• first start removing the rubber gasket which will need the handle opened
• be careful removing the rubber gasket as it can break
• to remove the spring, use needle nose pliers to push it back and over
• then slide the spring off the plastic shaft
• to separate the handle, hold it in the normal position as if it were installed in the door, then push down and pull over
• next pull it straight out which will give you two separate pieces
• reassembly in reverse of disassembly
