Tools/Supplies Needed:
• lithium battery model number CR2025
• coin or larger standard/flat screwdriver
Procedure:
• there will be alignment markings on the back of the case which show what position the battery cap should be in when it's locked or unlocked
• using a coin or a larger standard screwdriver so it doesn't damage the case, insert it into the slot and twist counterclockwise
• sometimes you can also rotate the cap by hand
• twist until the cap meets the other marking on the case
• then simply pull the cap from its position which will expose the battery
• unclip the battery from the cap
• a replacement battery is a lithium battery model number CR2025
• snap the new battery into place
• reassembly in reverse of disassembly
Programming Procedure
1. Within a 10 second period, turn the ignition on and off five times in a row, but do not start the engine.
2. In the fifth cycle, the ignition should be left in the on position. Within a couple seconds, the alarm light should be flashing. If not, restart procedure.
3. While the alarm light is flashing, push one of the buttons on the keyless entry remote until the flashing alarm light slows down. This demonstrates that the signal from the keyless entry remote has been enter and is now currently active.
4. For additional remotes, repeat step three.
5. When the flashing alarm light stops, then you are able to turn the ignition off and remove the key.
