• BMW wolf whistle

Procedure:

• first gain access to the stock VW alarm which is located under the cowl in front of the windshield
• remove the stock horn and locate the horn wiring
• find a mounting location for both the relay and the BMW alarm siren
• please refer to the writing diagram at the end of the video for further detail
• connect a ground wire from the existing VW alarm horn, then to the relay switched side, the coil side of the relay and the ground on the BMW siren
• connect a wire from the switching side of the VW alarm horn to the coil side of the relay
• connect a wire from the power source on top of the battery to both the tilt sensor and 12v constant power supply on the BMW siren
• finally connect a wire from the switched side of the relay to the gm signal wire on the BMW siren
• install wiring casing where needed, for this I apply heat shrink instead to keep wiring neat and tidy
• install solderless connectors where needed using crimp connectors

Video tutorial on how to upgrade a VW MK4 Golf, Jetta, or Bora stock keyless entry/alarm horn/siren. The years this tutorial applies to is 1999-2006. This works both on the lock and panic functions. In this video, I just give a brief overview with a couple sound clips on how to retro the BMW 4 wire siren to the stock VW 2 wire setup. Close to the end of the video, I have included a wiring diagram on how to install the new BMW siren along with part numbers for both the wolf whistle and road runner siren boxes. This particular tutorial was done on a 2004 Volkswagen Golf TDI.
