My key fob won't work after I replaced the battery, why is that?

Try reprogramming the remote. Please refer to the steps below on how that is done.

Can the immobilizer be transferred to a new case?

Yes it can be.

Programming Procedure

1. Get into your vehicle, ensure all the doors are closed, and roll the driver's side window all the way down.
2. Insert the working key fob into the ignition and switch on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. With the new key fob, lock the vehicle form the outside manually, but do not hold it in the lock position.
4. Press the new remote lock and unlock buttons simultaneously one time and then wait at least two seconds.
4. Press either button once again once.
5. Manually unlock the door, then switch off the ignition and remove the key fob from the ignition. The programming procedure is complete.
